Terms of Service

Last updated July 11, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Dystil, a product by Second Order Systems (Motiseth Technologies Pvt Ltd). By installing, running, or otherwise using Dystil, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The Service

Dystil is an AI-powered tool that maps how work happens across your organization. It observes screen activity, identifies repetitive workflows and manual handoffs, and recommends where AI agents or automation could create leverage.

Dystil is not a productivity tracker. It does not produce individual reports, timesheets, or performance scores. It is built to understand work, not monitor people.

2. Two ways to run Dystil

Self-hosted

You may deploy Dystil on your own infrastructure. In this mode, no data leaves your environment. We have no access to your data, and we are not responsible for its security. You are responsible for installation, maintenance, and compliance within your own environment.

Cloud

You may use our cloud-hosted version. In this mode, data is processed on our infrastructure in India. We treat all data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

3. Your Data

The specifics of how we collect, process, and store data are described in our Privacy Policy. In summary:

  • We never train models on your data — ours or anyone else’s.
  • Personal information is redacted on your device before anything is transmitted.
  • Processed data is purged. Only aggregate knowledge persists.
  • You can pause, quit, or request deletion of your data at any time.

Under Indian data protection law, you have rights regarding your personal data. Contact us to exercise any of those rights.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Dystil to:

  • Monitor or surveil individuals without their knowledge or consent.
  • Process data you do not have the right to process.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our models or proprietary systems.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Dystil must be installed with the knowledge and consent of the people whose screens it observes. If you are an employer deploying Dystil, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with local employment and privacy laws, including any obligation to inform employees.

5. Accounts and Access

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if we believe the service is being misused or if these Terms are violated.

6. Intellectual Property

Dystil, its models, its interface, and its underlying systems are the intellectual property of Second Order Systems. You do not acquire any ownership rights by using the service.

The aggregate insights and recommendations Dystil generates for you are yours to use within your organization.

7. No Warranties

Dystil is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its recommendations will always be accurate. Automated redaction is very good but not perfect.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Second Order Systems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Dystil. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You can stop using Dystil at any time. Pause it, quit it, or uninstall it. You may also request that we delete everything we hold about you, and we will confirm in writing when it is done.

We may terminate or restrict access if these Terms are violated or if we discontinue the service. We will give you reasonable notice before doing so, except in cases of urgent security or legal necessity.

10. Changes to These Terms

If we change these Terms, we will tell you — inside the app before the change takes effect, not buried on a webpage. If the change is material, you are free to stop using Dystil at that point.

Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Second Order Systems (Motiseth Technologies Pvt Ltd), Bengaluru, is responsible for the service. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, India.
